Our Core Seminars Explained

We run several types of seminars, and each is designed to get you up to speed as fast as possible on the lifts.

Snatch and/ or Snatch plus Clean & Jerk Seminar (4 to 7 Hours)

This seminar covers our snatch technique and can be modified to include the clean and jerk. We have detailed discussions on programming and how to train to improve your olympic weightlifting fast. This is where we advise everyone to start, as it covers precisely the material that we begin every new competitive Olympic weightlifter with here at Asheville Strength. If your goal is to be serious about learning the Olympic Lifts, this is step one.

Power Clean or Power Snatch for Athletes (3 hours)

Ideal for athletes in power sports (football, baseball, volleyball, wrestling, track and field, etc.) and strength sports. We start everyone off as though they have never seen the material presented, as we’ve found this takes care of the “swiss cheese knowledge” problem. Many athletes know a lot of random stuff, but there are huge holes in their skill-sets that are holding them back substantially. One of our primary goals is to shore up these issues, and create a more solid foundation from which they can build.

Squat Nemesis (3 Hours)

This seminar covers the technique of the front squat and back squat. We will also work with you on program design and implementation. Specifics will depend on the length of the seminar and needs of the athletes. Ideal for athletes whose primary concern is getting brutally strong.

How To Host A Seminar
